The Office of Postsecondary at the Southern Regional Education Board seeks to hire a Full-time or Part-time paid summer Intern (hybrid) in the mid-town Atlanta Headquarters.  This person understands the importance of education and is motivated by improving the economic mobility of students and, in turn, the vitality of the region. The purpose of this intern position is to gain relevant work experience, expand their knowledge of Higher Education, become familiar with terminology and culture, learn and apply project management skills, contribute to a SWOT analysis, learn and apply documentation skills, and apply research skills for practical purposes.

The Part-time Intern in the Office of Postsecondary will be expected to complete the following work statements:
 

  • Participate in a SWOT analysis.
  • Create a contact database within SREB’s  CRM system of SREB regional institutions of Higher Education.
  • Complete a job alignment study.
  • Develop a 3-year departmental calendar process, process documentation and compile data.
  • Develop a reflection summary/presentation of intern experience.
 
What does it take to be a Part-time Intern in the Office of Postsecondary?
Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Education Research, Business Management, Education Administration or a related field.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be available to serve the full length of the internship, May 20, 2024, through August 9, 2024.

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience and confidence using Microsoft office, word, Excel and Google Docs, as well as online platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc.
  • Working experience with Outlook.
  • Apply attention to detail and documentation.
