Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Henry hosts cooking demonstration
Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Henry Hospital will host cooking demonstration in March and April aimed at helping patients battling cancer.
On Wednesday, March 26 from noon to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s Foundation Education Center attend the Veggie Love: Fifty Shades of Green cooking demonstration. Discover the magnitude of spring vegetables and delicious way to incorporate them into your diet. Dietitian Ellen Steinberg, RD, LD and Chef Beci Falkenberg will share their love for gorgeous nutrient-dense greens in soups, salads, entrees, desserts and everything in between.
In April, special guest Chef Hans Rueffert and Cancer Wellness dietitian Ellen Steinberg RD, LD will tantalize participants of the Eat Like There is No Tomorrow cooking demonstration with fabulous fiber. The Eat Like There is No Tomorrow cooking demonstration will be held on Wednesday, April 30 from noon to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s Foundation Education Center.
Cancer Wellness at Piedmont offers free supportive services and programs to anyone affected by cancer, regardless of where treatment was received, thanks to donors like former Equifax Chairman and CEO Thomas (Tom) F. Chapman and family. Professionally led programs including yoga classes, expressive arts classes, cooking demonstrations, counseling and more are offered at various Piedmont locations.
Individual appointments with a registered dietitian are also available for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers who cannot make it to the cooking demonstration. Select Cancer Wellness programs also are available online for those unable to attend classes at Piedmont Henry.
